Evolving with Bitcoin: My Goals for the Coming Year - #201
TL;DR: Reflecting on a year of living on Bitcoin, learning from mistakes and setting new goals for the future.
Dear reader,
It's hard to believe that another year has passed and with it, a lot of progress has been made. When I set out on my journey to live on Bitcoin for a year, I knew it would be a challenge, but I never could have predicted just how much I would learn and grow as a result.
One of the goals I set out for myself was to start this newsletter to share my experiences living on Bitcoin with others. Through the ups and downs of the market, I've gotten to learn what it's like to survive in winter and come out on the other side.
Here’s what I learned:
Living with Bitcoin's volatility is key. Embracing it helped me survive the bear market. It's important to be mindful of spending and only buy what you need.
Understand what you own. This minimizes risk and helps you make informed decisions.
It's okay to make mistakes with Bitcoin. Embrace the opportunity to learn and grow. Don't let fear hold you back. Continuous learning leads to improvement.
Think long-term with Bitcoin. Don't get caught up in daily fluctuations. Bitcoin is my end goal, and I am willing to weather the storms to hold onto it.
Managing your own assets is hard work, but the freedom and control are worth it. Going back to traditional banking is not an option for me.
As we enter a new year, I am looking forward to making even more progress and setting new goals for myself. In regards to Living on Bitcoin, I have several goals that I am focusing on:
1 - Continuing to live on Bitcoin:
I will accomplish this by continuing to earn, save, and spend in Bitcoin. In addition, I plan to become a bit more active in the Bitcoin economy by revamping my own meetup, going to more community events, and collaborating with others in the space. I will also continue to document and share my experiences with you through this newsletter.
2 - Improve my use of Bitcoin:
Last year, I made a lot of mistakes as I was learning how to use Bitcoin in my daily life. While these mistakes were frustrating at the time, I learned a lot from the experience and am determined to continue improving. To do this, I plan to continue educating myself on the latest developments in the Bitcoin world and finding new ways to optimize my usage.
3 - Writing weekly:
One of my goals for this year is to continue writing weekly updates for this newsletter. In addition to these updates, I also plan to write more short form letters more frequently and continue to create simple, easy-to-follow guides. I will save the longer, more formatted works for end of the month reflections.
I am also working on improving the Living on Bitcoin newsletter overall. This includes getting translations for Spanish and German so that more people can benefit from the content.
I hope that what I shared with you last year was of some benefit, and I am looking forward to continuing to write to you in 2023.
What are some of your goals for the new year? I'd love to hear about them and see how we can support each other in achieving them.
Happy New Year!
Until next time…
Very Inspiring..... Love your work..
