The Insight
Bitcoin stands unyielding.
Wars rage, yet bitcoin remains unbothered.
Companies, nations, and sovereigns, they see the writing on the wall. They board the ark, aggressive and determined. Plebs, stay calm.
Know that ETFs bring ease, but nothing surpasses the real thing.
Hold your bitcoin close, in your own wallets. That is true power and freedom.
Announcement
I’ve written a book. It is called "Get on Bitcoin." It speaks to the beginner. A handbook. A guide. For the curious. For those who seek. My hope is simple. That it becomes a standard at meetups. A tool for sharing. A means to pass knowledge. It is now in editing. Promotion will follow through Geyser fund. The journey continues.
Lesson from The Road
We went to Mairazeller. My first time. My wife’s family took us. They’re from the area. The village nestled in a valley, surrounded by mountains. Green everywhere. Flowers in windows. Cobblestones underfoot. Charm poured from the hills. A timeless place.
Lunch at a small eatery. Wooden tables, checkered cloths. The food was simple. Good. Wiener Schnitzel. Crispy. Golden. Juicy. Time to pay. Only phones. Bitcoin loaded. Prepaid cards. No cash. Embarrassment crept in. Mairazeller was all cash. The nearest ATM miles away. Our digital lives met their limit in this physical world.
Cousin paid. Smiled. “Keep your money,” she said. “This is Mairazeller.”
We walked around town. Passing the church. The store fronts. Noticed something there were no cameras. No surveillance. Just people. People relaxed. At ease. Found a shop. My wife wanted a trinket, a souvenir. Cash only. No cards. No tap-to-pay. We went without it.
Later, we went to a lake by the mountains. Clear blue water. Family went for ice cream. Cash only. Another cousin paid. “Enjoy your day,” he said, refusing our bitcoin. “No need for your coin here.”
No phones.
No tablets.
Life lived.
Humans were humans. Not glued to screens. Not lost in digital worlds. Present. Together.
The sun warmed our faces. The water sparkled. The air was fresh. Pure. No smog. No noise. Just the sound of life. Of laughter. Of living.
I watched the kids. Their faces bright, laughter pure. I watched the parents. Their eyes soft, smiles genuine. Friends conversed easily, joy contagious. The elderly shared stories, their wisdom evident.
And I thought, this is how it should be. This is how we should live. Present. Together. Not lost in screens. Not glued to phones. But here. Now. With each other. Mairazeller—a charm, a reminder, a lesson.
Bitcoin is a tool, not a solution for everything. It works well for many situations. In others, not so much. Our trip to Mairazeller reminded us of the limits of our digital lives, the beauty of the physical world, and the importance of being present. Together. Knowing when to use our tools and when to leave them behind.
Here, life was real. Here, we were alive.
